App Marketplace

The App Marketplace installs a ready-made app in a new HivePod: pick it, choose a size and region, and it’s running in about a minute at its own HTTPS address. Open it from HivePods → App Marketplace in the console, or choose Start from an app when you create a pod.

More than 900 open-source apps, grouped like an app menu: websites and blogs (WordPress, Ghost), AI tools (Open WebUI with Ollama, OpenClaw), automation, developer tools (Gitea, Code Server), analytics (Plausible, Umami, Matomo), files and photos (Nextcloud, Immich), passwords (Vaultwarden), monitoring (Uptime Kuma, Grafana), office and productivity, chat, games and more. Search by name or browse by category; Featured apps are hand-checked by the DockHive team.

Apps such as WordPress, Ghost or Nextcloud come with their own database inside the same HivePod. It’s set up for you, with its own generated password, and only the app can reach it. You pay for the pod’s size only, nothing extra for the database.

Each app shows the smallest size it needs, and smaller sizes can’t be picked. An app pod is billed like any HivePod: by the hour while it runs, from your plan’s included vCPU-hours first. Always on, that’s Nano $1, Micro $2, Small $4 and Medium $8 a month. A stopped pod costs nothing.

An app’s data (your site’s files, its database, uploads) is kept on the pod’s disk and survives restarts. Backups include all of it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.

The Any Docker image tab runs a public image from Docker Hub, GitHub Container Registry or Quay. Search Docker Hub or type the image (user/app:tag), then set:

  • the web port the app listens on (leave it empty for apps with no web page),
  • the folders to keep (for example /data), up to 5,
  • any environment variables the image expects.

The pod page shows the app’s icon and address. Most apps ask you to create the first admin account the first time you open them: do that straight away. If an app can’t start, the pod page says why, for example when an image can’t be downloaded.

The app catalog is built from open-source projects: Portainer templates (lissy93), BigBear CasaOS, the CasaOS App Store and Coolify. Icons come from Dashboard Icons and Simple Icons.
