Quickstart: your first bucket
This takes about three minutes. You need a DockHive account and the AWS CLI installed.
1. Create a bucket
Section titled “1. Create a bucket”- In the console, open Hive Buckets and click Create bucket.
- Enter a Bucket name, for example
my-app-uploads. Names are unique across DockHive: 3-63 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens and dots. - Pick a Region close to your users. See Endpoints and regions.
- Leave Visibility on Private (you can change it later) and click Create bucket.
2. Create an access key
Section titled “2. Create an access key”- Open Hive Buckets → Access keys and click Create access key.
- Give it a Name (for example
laptop), choose All buckets or Selected buckets, and pick a Permission: Read & write is right for most apps. - Click Create key and copy the Access key ID (it starts with
DH) and the Secret access key. The secret is shown only once.
3. Configure the AWS CLI
